Apparently Cape May is the oldest seaside resort in America. People flock there for the tourism, shopping and of course the beach. The majority of the houses are designed and built in the old Victorian theme, with many of them are the original structures. Of course not all are old but they certainly keep with the theme of the city.
Cape May would be a fantastic place to spend a long weekend (or a week) relaxing on the beach and just doing nothing.
We drove up and down the esplanade a couple of times just looking at the houses and admiring the view. I wonder if the locals would get sick of people doing that every weekend??
