The Cape May - Lewes Ferry has been operating across the Delaware River between Lewes (Delaware) and Cape May (New Jersey) for over 40 years. During our north east trip we took the scenic route and used the ferry. As the website states, it certainly was a very relaxing way to cross the river and it also cut a number of miles off our trip, though it was probably a little slower. But who cared, we weren't in any rush.
