The Olympic park is located about 40 minutes drive up into the hills from Salt Lake City. It's beautiful countryside through that area but would be even more spectacular during the winter. Apparently they get some of the best powder snow in the country here. Apparently that's good fun to ski through. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on the drivers I guess) it was green when we were there. Still pretty cold though.

The giant ski jump is just that.....giant. Why anyone would decide to do this is beyond me. The photos don't do it justice. This thing is absolutely massive. In the above photo Carol is about 100m from the bottom of the jump, just to give you an idea of the size.

Maybe instead of playing on the PGA Tour, Alexander can try his hand at being another famous Australian Olympic skier. Speaking of famous Australian skiers....
