Utah was the last state we visited as we traveled west from Rapid City in South Dakota with the van Leeuwen family. It is home to some of the most spectacular National Parks - Arches, Bryce Canyon and Zion to name a few and also Monument Valley. Unfortunately these are located more in the south of the state and we ran out of time to get down there and see them. Something to leave for next time.
We stopped by the site where the first transcontinental railway was completed and also had a look at the 2002 winter Olympics site, just outside of Salt Lake City. Probably not the most attractive tourist attractions that the State has to offer but still worth a look.
