The last stop on our Florida trip was an overnight stay in Miami. We hadn't booked any accommodation and thought we'd just try our luck in finding somewhere to stay. Unfortunately this wasn't as successful as we would have liked. We ended up staying in the Coconut Grove area, which is really nice but no where near the beach or the endless rows of pubs and clubs that you see on the movies.
Unfortunately we just didn't enjoy Miami but I don't think this is an indication of the city itself. Probably by then we were ready to head home. It seemed that everywhere we drove, cars just decided to double park in front of us, making progress around the city very difficult. We knew our luck was out when we tried to get a quick lunch at Burger King, only to find they were out of Whoppers. Just our luck!!!
Thankfully we didn't see anyone from CSI Miami but we did see some very big boats and some very big houses (all from a distance I might add).
Maybe if I have to head that way again for work, we'll try and spend a little more time to see some of the better sides of Miami but I don't think we'll be going back there especially any time soon.
